The term “spiritual awakening” often conjures images of a singular, blissful event—a sudden flash of light that brings permanent peace and solves all of life’s mysteries. We see it portrayed as a destination, a perfect state of being to be achieved. But for those who have walked the path, the reality is often more paradoxical, disorienting, and ultimately more profound than the clichés suggest.
