I grew up baptist then married and went assembly of god . When we learned that it was all about raking in tithes and building bigger better buildings the hard truth hit us and we walked away over 10 yrs ago. Now I have left Christianity/churchianity altogether. I always questioned if something was missing from the 5-6 translations of the Bibles that I owned. Now I have a Cepher containing 87 books. Currently reading Jubilees, about third of Jasher and some of Enoch. The Gospel of Thomas is in there but I have only had my Cepher a couple of months. I’m blown away by what I’ve read so far in the lost books. Learning so very much and now in love with reading scripture again and calling heavenly Father and Son by their Hebrew names removed from other Bibles and observing the true Shabbat which is NOT on sun worship sunday. I’m also reading a book by Ravi Sha’ul “Christianity: The Great Deception.”
What if those books you speak of were just too dangerous and/or premature for many of those of the day, and perhaps human consciousness has advanced to the point that we are now more able to understand and are more receptive to even higher truths? Afterall, the search for God never ends, does it?...
Yes! I soak up a lot of books, even the Zohar, which breaks the old testament into 33 huge books. I also am learning Aramaic to read in Jesus's tongue.
Excellent invitation to stretch ones inner walls….borders that have been put in place mainly for control mechanisms rather than the expansion of peace and love!
Thanks Big Dan,
Even as a pre-teen I wondered these very things. (I'm almost 60 now.) Especially when I found out how the books of the Bible were chosen.
Thank you. I have studied that same ole bible that we all do so many years but a lot did not make sense. There were always questions.
I just started reading Enoch and have been trying to wake up since the Covid Hoax, it's definitely been a slow process and oh so many rabbit holes..
